Ascent Trip Report

I found this peak on the app and did not realize that it was from LoJ until I went to log it and couldn’t. Since I could not log the ascent as I am not a LoJer, I had to add it to peakbagger and log it. Pleasant run along dirt roads right through the prom saddle. Virginia flatland peakbagging at it’s finest... The initial dirt road has a pair of no trespassing signs and a wide open gate that looks like it is rarely closed, but the house at the far north end of the dirt road is for sale. This dirt road does not see much traffic at all. I would not worry about it. You could either park a few hundred feet to the south along the side of the road like I did or park at the Methodist Church about 3/4 of a mile to the west. Since I was running, I may as well have done it from the church, but I did not. Once you make the left turn onto the less used dirt road, you will definitely not see anybody. This secondary dirt road is not posted at all as I believe it is part of the local nature preserve.
