Ascent Trip Report

Whew! Glad I had my micro-spikes. Up to 50 cm of snow, mostly very crusty. The hike from the trail to the top was steep (of course), but with hard packed snow that you would break through every twenty or so steps. The spikes were very useful on the up and the down of that stretch. Otherwise, the trail from the Buck Creek Trailhead was well packed down, most likely from hunters coming out at the end of first season rifle elk last week. A good time was had by all.
