Ascent Trip Report

From Randle, take FR23 to FR28 to FR29. FR29 is closed to traffic beyond the junction with FR2904. There are signs there blocking the road. There is a washout at mile 12 on FR29 according to another sign. Luckily, you need FR2904 to get to the TH and that is open and accessible. Small water bars (Canadian topes) on FR2904, but a carefully driven passenger car would have no issues making it to this TH in good conditions. Initial trail is a dirt bike trail with some rutting and up and down over what we presumed are jumps, but it is decent walking. Summit trail is excellent, topped off with an easy scramble to the summit. Views of Rainier, Adams, and Mt St Helens. Very high quality hike - small effort for a big reward. Pics
