Ascent of Dadongshan on 2019-10-21
|Date:||Monday, October 21, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4072 ft / 1241 m|
Ascent Trip ReportTook taxi from Changyi to end of main road. The path is still drivable to 900m. After that point, the trail is rough with lots of rope-aided cliffs. The final 1.5 km is a nice trail that runs the ridge. There is a picnic area at one of the summit candidates.
I missed the last bus and couldn’t find a taxi. Long walk back to my hotel. Blah. Blah blah. Overall it was a good county highpoint, although being a foreigner with moderate Chinese added challenges.
