Ascent Trip Report

Dropped my car at Lincoln Woods and took a cab to Liberty Springs to start my hike.

Picture perfect fall day. Crisp, clear, no humidity, no bugs. Despite this perfect weather I was shocked I didn't see more people than I did. I only saw 8 people heading up Liberty Spring. Once I took the turn on the ridge towards Liberty and Flume there were certainly more people, but not the parade I expected. I had the summit of Liberty to myself for about 5 minutes and then I had Flume to myself for another 10 minutes! That all changed when I got back to Lincoln Woods. I have never seen that place so crowded.

10.32 miles, about 6.5 hours.
