Ascent Trip ReportTook the gully 200ft left of the known ascent route. Ran out of time with waist deep snow. Summit push was more like mixed ice climb with lose rock and deep snow and icy sections
Turned back and hiked back to camp in headlamps. Decided not to attempt mount Maude the next day. Larches slowly turning golden. Two more weeks may be.
Temperature was below freezing in the night. |
