Ascent of Independence Peak on 2019-09-11
|Date:||Wednesday, September 11, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||5400 ft / 1645 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThe approach via the North Lake trail was easy and uneventful. The scramble isn't bad, but some pretty loose areas. I initially tried climbing a south facing gully but ended up in class 5 terrain. I descended and
climbed around the south face to the East ridge where it was a simple walk up.
