Ascent Trip Report

I got wild swings of estimates for the saddle elevation from 3220 to 3270 ughhhh and the 50 foot contour do not help. My GPS implied that the other peak is actually higher but the other peakbaggers seem to think this is the CHP so not sure - I did both and estimate my TH elevation at 3230. The gravel tracks beyond the gates are easy to walk up and take you to the back of the peak where there is a short class 2+ scramble up to the summit rock with a USGS marker clearly to be seen - yes the old fire stack is still up there too.

Again the roads up to the saddle between these two peaks is ideal for a HCV SUV but could be done by a car. A few easy potholes to navigate around but only at the very last 300 yards of road.
