Ascent Trip ReportFun relatively pain free climb with very few people. Only 4 other parties signed the summit register so far in 2019. Follow the trail for 5 miles until you get to the sign for Thompson Lake. Turn left on the abandoned road that takes you to Thompson Point. When you get on the ridge heading towards Thompson Point there are two roads that traverse the slope towards Revolution Peak. I tried the lower road on the way in and ended up having to thrash up a steep hillside to the ridge. The better option is the higher road, which I followed on the way down. There's still some steep traversing when the road ends but it's not too bad. The other option is to hike out to Thompson point, which I didn't do. The ridge to Revolution peak goes fairly easily with a faint climber's trail most of the way. Sometimes its on the ridge, sometimes on the left side, and sometimes on the right side. There's one steep rocky scramble on the ridge but it's easy class 3. I followed the ridge to the summit. 3 hours from the car. I headed off to Russian Butte from there, a more challenging climb.
