Ascent Trip ReportMulti-peak outing in the Jarbidge Mountains. I went up Jarbidge Canyon, followed a ridge line up to the saddle between Matterhorn and Cougar Peak. I ascended the Matterhorn. From there I followed the ridge north, skipping Square Top, but bagging Jumbo and Jarbidge Peaks. I followed the ridge west of Jarbidge down to some old mining roads, which I followed down to the main road. I returned to Pine Creek Campground, where I started. It was a lovely cloudless day, blue skies everywhere, great views, great scenery. Really incredible area.
