Ascent Trip ReportI had always assumed that Barker Pass was a dirt road. We took the PCT/TRT from Barker Pass. Turned right onto the TRT when the TRT/PCT split. About a mile after that there is a use trail headed up the East Face of Twin Peaks, marked by a single stick someone placed alongside the trail's intersection. The summit block is a little steeper than I thought. Wife was cautious but made it the whole way up! Class 3 talus. The summit had an ammo box register and a geological marker. Lots of wildflowers today. Still a tiny bit of snow up here at 8,500 feet.
