Ascent Trip ReportRan from Grenoble to start of ascent. Follow waymarked paths to Narbonne. After couple of zig Zags on road turned off onto steep uphill path in the forest following blue paint markings. Some good fun exposed paths with some cables before getting onto the ridge. Great easy scrambling across the ridge with some runnable bits. Took a wrong turn nearer the summit but climbed back to join the waymarked trail. Had the whole if the mountain to myself and so sat enjoyed the summit and views. Steep descent down the Couloir on very loose screens and dirt but then eases off eventually. Down to Clemencieres, Narbonne and back to Grenoble. Great fun. 17km round trip from centre of Grenoble. |
