Ascent Trip ReportThe usual access point from the fence and old two-track listed by Ken Oeser in COHP is posted private. After doing some research, I found an access point off US 87 that was BLM land near where the pine trees are closest to the road. I was able to park on BLM land, and with my GPS and studying the cadastral, was able to stay on BLM land the entire way. 4 foot high weeds and 90 degree temps made this tougher than I thought, but still quite easy. I found a well beaten cow trail on the north side of the ridge, still on BLM land, that made the way back much easier. From there I made my way to the Musselshell COHP. |
