Ascent Trip Report

Climbed up the North Face of Whitney to avoid extra distance traversing from Russell. We started at the col east of Russell, then traversed to the Whitney-Russell pass, then made our way up the North Face moving to the far right side of the face and following a long ridge. Class 2 near the pass, then class 3 most of the way up the rib with a few class 4 moves. Once we got to the top of the ridge we met up with the mountaineer's route and it was probably 10 minutes to the summit. If you want a more detailed route for doing both Whitney and Russell in a day contact me.
