Ascent Trip ReportMisting heavily and windy with visibility 15 yards and thus stopped here and decided it was too unsafe to proceed any further, especially being the only one on the mountain except sheep. Rain and wind was worse on the descent but at least it was not cold. Loved Ed Waddell trip report as it is very descriptive of the very poorly visible trail once off the asphalted area. It is a better trail and easiest with the same distance to start from Cronins Yard if you want to successfully hike to Ireland’s high point, even in terrible weather!
