Ascent Trip Report

Club climb with Patty, Lucas, and Ryan. High bivy at 8200' just below the first true 4th class gully. Took the 5th class line rather than the 4th class bypass below LJT. Fun movement here with a stiff layback 3/4 of the way through the pitch. This route in totality really is a scramblers wet dream. So much fun scramble terrain with interesting route finding. Set a fixed line a couple times to protect the party from the fall line, we made quick work of these measures. Time well spent especially for those less comfortable with exposure and/or not super comfortable with a carry over pack. The 5th class terrain was super fun. A wonderfully airy traverse on the west ridge's northern aspect really sets the tone. The final top out pitch is superb. Perfecto alpine
