Ascent Trip ReportJust a mile or so up Golden Gate Canyon Road from CO 93 in Golden to arrive at the signed Mount Galbraith TH/decent-sized parking area on the left. Most of the trail to Galbraith is not shaded. The grade of the trail, however, is gentle with interesting views on the way. The initial trail is the Cedar Gulch Trail which according to the park brochure intersects with the Nightbird Gulch Trail and the Mount Galbraith Loop trail. Take the Nightbird Gurch Trail just a short distance to a saddle where you veer off to ascend a trail thagt shortly arrives at the east peak of Galbraith.
Back at the junction go counterclockwise on the Mt Galbraith Loop. Reaching the ridge there are a couple of steeper shortcut trails that one could take, but the main trail will get you up to the summit. May have to wander around a bit to take in on all the views available on top.
