|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|

Ascent Trip ReportTrail run/power-hike on the Long Trail. I started at Brandon Gap, went northbound over Cape Lookoff, Gillespie and Worth, turning around at Middlebury Gap and returning to my starting point at Brandon Gap. The total distance was 18 miles, with almost 5000' ascent, making for a good workout. The footing was rough, but not terrible. The rocks were wet from some scattered showers today, so I had to use extra caution at times. I saw many backpackers, plus a few others like me who were just out for the day.
