Ascent Trip Report

With mountaineers. Very leisurely trip. We had a pretty slow person in the group.

1145 left trailhead. 525pm at camp at 6000 feet, uphill of Peggy’s pond.

750 left camp and descended slightly before heading north up a gully and through a notch. Slowly circling the shoulder of a ridge counterclockwise, before heading due west. Eventyally reached a snowfield around 7000 feet and continued on until we reached a loose rocky ridge. Scrambled up to the true summit at 245pm. Descended via the Southeast ridgeline scrambling route. Back at camp at 6pm. It definitely should not have taken this long, even in the heat of 90+ degrees.

750 left camp, at the cars by 1110. Quick washup in the stream and headed back down the bumpy road.

Packweight 45#, carrying glacier gear and the team rope.

My 13th and 14th WA COHPs!
