Ascent Trip ReportI'm a dumbass. I attempted this after spending the day climbing other highpoints and peaks, and also taking the road from the east to get here which is a dirt road from hell. It was hot, I was tired. Even though I took quite a bit of water, I found that I was going to run out if I continued. So, I turned around to come back another day. The whole journey is downhill from West Camino Cielo Road. The last bit, that I was facing before I turned around, was quite a bit of descent and ascent with more bushwhacking. I am also going to investigate a possible alternate route.
There is another peakbagger entry listed as the highpoint of El Capitan State Beach High Point, but is doesn't take into consideration the land across Highway 1. That is also part of the state beach.
