Ascent Trip ReportWeather was a bit funky the weekend we went. It was fine below 8,000' but the whiteout conditions presented us with a navigation challenge on the summit ridge. We ended up descending the steeper couloir adjacent to Cascade Couloir by following the wrong set of cairns. On the hike out of the valley back to Esmeralda it started snowing and accumulated a couple inches up on longs pass, more I'm sure on Stuart. |
