Ascent Trip Report

Access Notes: This is a logical doubleheader with The Priest. See “The Priest” access notes. On the return from the Priest – cross the road that leads to the parking area and proceed on the AT. This is a 2.85 mile long hike with a short off trail jaunt to the summit. Elevation gain is 1090 feet. If you miss a faint trail that leads to the summit at mile 2.55. You can pick up another trail where the AT makes a hard left at mile 2.83. Look right as the AT makes the hard left and there is a faint trail that leads to the summit.

Activation Notes
The summit is heavily forested with limited views but there is enough clear space to set-up antennas. This was a long hike day – when combined with The Priest – totaled 10 miles of hiking together. I did not bring enough water and food which made the day even longer.
