Ascent Trip ReportIndisputable Type 2 fun: Bailing off of Mt Humphreys after spooky rockfall then getting soul-crushing AMS (again). We did one rappel and a class 5 downclimb to bail. I felt AWFUL on the descent due to AMS, the worst I've felt in a long time. I made weird sounds, whimpers, and grunts as I struggled down the scree, head pounding. Derek found the sounds so disturbing that he excused himself and went ahead of me. The mountain teaches you a new lesson every time. |
