Ascent Trip Reportafter visiting the LO i followed various use trails across the ridge, sometimes with an easy bit of manzanita encroaching the path. once the saddle below 7350 is reached the trail becomes much more well defined, no doubt because of the hang glider port at the summit (at least that's what's noted on gmaps). it's easy to see why this could be a hang glider jump off point -- from the summit, the mountain falls off rapidly, and there are few trees in the way. excellent views of lake tahoe, and definitely worth the tiny bit of effort past the lookout. |
