Ascent Trip Reportthere was water and soft ground in the creek between the peaks, other than that the cross-country was easy.
there are two contending high points, the southern one has the benchmark. this is also where andrew kirmse's analysis places the high point. i bagged this first, and ate lunch while enjoying the view south, looking at snow covered sierra peaks.
the cairn on 7725 obscures the benchmark, and i didn't want to disassemble it to see if it was still there. both reference marks are still present though.
then i went off to bag the north bump, just in case. it is hard to tell which is higher, especially because of the cairn on 7725. the north bump required some class 3 coming from the south. i left going north, and it was slightly easier, but i think you'd still need a bit of class 3 for the summit block.
