Ascent Trip ReportPart 3 on a four part hike to Little Snowball Mountain NE.
From the summit of Hawkbill Knob, the trail dives steeply down to Snowball Gap before climbing gradually to the ridge that leads to this HP. There is a sign representing the summit, but the actual to highest point is found on a faint deer trail to a false HP and then on to another tree filled summit. Not a bad bushwhack even in summer. Just need to keep the higher ground in view. Nothing to see on top except some strange fungi. Retraced my steps downhill to the dedicated trail. Maybe better views in Winter. At any rate, it is a clean HP, but not glorious in any way.
