Ascent Trip Reporti attached a driving track to my argentine rock LO trip report. any SUV could make it to where we turned off the main road, the side road isn't too bad either... but we stopped short of where dennis started due to the road becoming more of a suggestion than a thing.
hike was easy up to the base of the peak. the climb was fun class 3. describing climbs in words is a skill i don't really have, let's just say that after venturing east to attain a ledge, we then moved to the middle of the southern face to ascend a ridge.
the views are great on this 1899' prominence. we found bob burd's register.
i spotted the two nearby P300s, and they looked like they had nice open summits. i also spotted grizzly peak to the north, and it also looked worthy of a visit. on the hike back to the trucks i decided that i was enjoying the hiking enough that i'd just continue on hiking those other peaks. bob and jerry headed home (via claremont).
