Ascent Trip Report

As with my first visit, I was here en route for Geneva airport. Having climbed Albristhorn and Schafberg earlier in the day, we headed here looking for somewhere cool to sleep, and en route enjoyed a scenic meal at restaurant at the top station of the Saleve cable car.

There is a car park close to the highest point of the road, and from here it is a short easy walk through woodland to the summit which is marked by a typical French triangulation point (stone block with cross inscribed in top surface). A little further on is a building perched above impressive cliffs with views across Geneva to the Jura mountains. The sky was superb, with a thunderstorm underway.

The following day Andrew was at Geneva airport early and I headed east for one last P600er, Tour d' Ai before heading home.
