Ascent of North Paulina Peak on 2019-07-20
|Date:||Saturday, July 20, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||North Paulina Peak|
| Elevation:||7686 ft / 2342 m|
Ascent Trip ReportHiked the west Crater Rim trail from the visitor center. Easy and short off-trail segment to bag the summit. I continued on to the Cinder trail junction since I'm trying to hike all the trails in the Caldera and didn't have that segment, then turned around and returned to the visitor center. Nice day out, about 13.5 miles.
I do enjoy the climb up to the rim along the Cinder Hill trail much more than the climb up the western Rim trail. I'd recommend the Cinder Hill approach for a nicer hike.
