Ascent Trip Report

Mount Forgotten is a great easy peak with a well maintained trail pretty much the entire way. I was a little wiped operating on only 3 hours of sleep, but it was fun nonetheless. I was also surprised by the amount of snow on the NW side of Forgotten, but it wasn't a serious problem.

The maintained trail ends at the meadow, which is a worthy destination in and of itself. The use trail to the summit is heavily traveled and easy to follow. As has been reported by almost everyone, the crux is the descent from the meadow to begin the traverse to the summit. I wouldn't call it class 3 and did not use my hands even with the added difficulty of it being wet and slippery. It's short and there is plenty of stuff to grab if necessary.
