Ascent Trip Report#21
After a great stay near Davis, WV the night before (thoroughly enjoyed Stumptown Ales, camping at Blackwater Falls State Park was lovely), it was back on the road in the direction of WV and MD highpoints. Hoye Crest/Backbone Mountain was a quiet hike up a dirt path over the course of a half hour or so, alone on the trail at 8am, with the wooded summit and nice register coming greeting us along with some Pop Tarts and a DuClaw Brewing Blueberry Citrus Wheat beer at the top. Didn't stick around long, and another party was approaching, so we logged in, did our thing, and kept moving on through West Viriginia.
