Ascent Trip ReportThe hike to nearby Turtle Mountain is about two hours, one-way. At the half-way point, the trail comes to a clearing. Continuing straight and you'll continue towards Turtle, but if you take the trail to the left (east), it will bring you to Mawhane Mtn. The hike from there is about 20-25 minutes one-way. There are no directional signs yet at the clearing, unfortunately, but both trails are obvious.
The elevation posted (210 m.) here is approximate only, using the topo map. Other online sources suggest the elevation is between 195-205 m. Its actual elevation needs to be confirmed by GPS. |
