Ascent Trip ReportLong day with brother Josh. Used Greg Slayden's GPS tracks. Started at 8, arrived at Sahale by noon. Dropped into Horseshoe basin via snow and class 2 slabs. Played a game of Horse shoes in the basin then followed tracks. I struggled but we summited by 7 and got back to horseshoe basin via glissade in minutes. Took the class 3/4 rib back to Sahale via headlamp due to ice on our original route and slogged to the cascade pass TH arriving at 3am. Many thanks to a climber who went up the previous day for steps in the ice |
