Ascent of Lone Tree Mountain on 2019-06-23Others in Party: | Becca Romig ----Only Party on Mountain | Date: | Sunday, June 23, 2019 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Lone Tree Mountain | Location: | USA-Washington | Elevation: | 4640 ft / 1414 m |
Ascent Trip ReportLandslide area of the road is quite a wide swath, longer than expected. I doubt that the FS will ever fix it. Beyond the landslide area, the road is overgrown but very passable. The alder is closing in, but is still another few years from total brush hell. We saw some mountain lion poop in a few locations, some of it quite fresh. Maybe another hiker will be lucky enough to see one! Summit is just off an old road spur, in the brush and some thin pine trees but accessible. Fun quick hike of an optimistic P1k. Pics |
