Ascent Trip ReportWe successfully climbed the highest peak in Ireland, Carrauntoohil (3,409’). It was an awesome hike up through the Heavenly Gate to the summit. We bagged a second peak too, Cnoc na Tonnie (2,772’) so that we could descend down the zig-zag trail. Stats for the hike were 9.5 mile round trip with 3,500’ gain total. There were many hikers on the peak as you might expect on a Saturday for a walk-up peak.
