Ascent Trip ReportI drove up to the area from Hwy 26 using FR 27. I drove right to the wilderness boundary. There is a small radio shack and antenna at the boundary. Behind the shack there is a barb wire fence that leads out to the high point. I followed the fence and climbed it a few times to get out to the high point that is located at a big rounded boulder with and cairn built on top. I visited all 3 closed contours and the middle one is definitely higher than the other 2. No good views from the summit because of the surrounding trees. I car camped here for the night in a beautiful area. |
