Ascent of Revolution Peak on 2019-06-12
|Date:||Wednesday, June 12, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||5454 ft / 1662 m|
Ascent Trip ReportQuick notes. There is a water source immediately following the turn for Thompson Lake five miles from the parking lot. Water was flowing fast and freely still at this point. Some patchy snow above 4,800'. Traversing to Revolution I followed the ridge from Thompson Point. A very vague trail generally stays to the South side of the ridge but sometimes will be on the North. For the most part stay close to the ridge and it is walkable. The one scramble move in the middle is fairly easy, about 5 feet tall with solid hand holds. I think I was the first person to the summit this season without snow covering it. Whatever they did to the cabin at Thompson point left an incredible mess, pretty disappointed in that.
