Ascent Trip Report47.914009° N, 70.447634° W - (EXTREME VIEW): Mont Jérémie + Sud Est, Lac Noir, Lac à André, Hautes-Gorges Rivière-Malbaie - North East, Montagne des Érables, Félix-Antoine-Savard; Sud, Central, Nord Cap, Mont de l’Équerre, Mont Guy-Godin, La Romane, Mont du Lac de la Huppe (etc).
47.915644° N, 70.450075° W - The welcoming boulders; once seen, final summit push.
Mont du Lac de la Huppe; (approximation) via (binoculars) 5mx5mx10m vertical bedrock outcrop accessible by one deadly hell route, lol.
I decided not to pursue Mont du Lac a André(s) true high point; due to ultra thick alpine spruce/ pine which made the potential overwatch on Lac à André - Nord unenticing considering the effort required also Mont du Lac de la Huppe seemed so unbelievably far I decided not to continue.
I found zero human foot tracks imprinted in lichen/ moss, zero over-turned rocks, zero evidence suggesting someone had come here before.
I found (old) belay ropes leading along one of the exposed bedrock, (waterfall), couloir/ washout areas. I determined with certainty they were used to aid in accessing the visually appealing and unrelated unnamed sub peak which is easily one kilometre before Mont du Lac à André. I may very well make a detour to this unrelated and unnamed sub peak during a future visit to Mont du Lac à André.
