Ascent Trip ReportDid this hike with Tammy Lancaster and Norma Santoya as a training hike for our planned one day Mt. Whitney climb in late September.
We started at the trailhead at the top of Hobart Rd. in LakeView, and walked up the Hobart Reservoir Trail (Lakes Rd. then Franktown Creek Rd.) to the saddle before it starts to drop down to Hobart Reservoir, then turned right up the hill. From there we went cross country, bushwhacking, and then scrambling to the rocky summit where we stopped and took a lunch break. Then we went back down the way we came. |
