Ascent Trip Report

We started at the upper Lehman Campground trailhead because the road up to the Wheeler Campground was closed. The trail quickly became snow covered and we had to put on our crampons. We tried to follow a track of the trail but the snow was very deep but well consolidated. We reached the Wheeler Campground and decided to basically follow a track that previous snow climbers had posted to Peakbagger. We reached the moraine above Brown Lake and decided to take a snack break. We made the decision to turn around due to windy conditions and we still had a considerable climb left and we were already fairly tired. We plan to come back for a snow ascent after they open the road to Wheeler campground.
