Ascent Trip Report

Two things:

1) it was May 22 and snow on ground at 7000 feet from two days of spring snow AND it was snowing the entire time we hiked! Yuck!
2) I realized for the first time the park HP I entered is not the actual geographically highest point. It is near it and a semi-interesting rock formation with 50 feet of rise BUT the actual highest ground is NW of this "peak" and would have to be entered later as the true geographic highpoint on the property boundary of public lands with no prominence. Oh well.......this is the more interesting point to hike up to
