Ascent of Chatsworth Peak on 2019-05-21
|Date:||Tuesday, May 21, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||2314 ft / 705 m|
Ascent Trip ReportStarted early. Headed up Lilac ln, through the no trespassing signs and to the end of the paved road. Once the pavement ends a high profile vehicle is recommended as the dirt road is very rutted and easy to get stuck. Parked at the sign that says "Sedona West" and headed up the dirt road to the paved road. At the water tank, you just go to the backside and on your left is an old overgrown dirt road that switchbacks to the top. We were careful not to disturb the multiple radio antennas as we searched for the BM. We never found the BM but did find a rock where a BM was but has been removed. Hiked the same way down. 1.5 miles total, EZ PZ except that paved road is a steep mutha.
