Ascent Trip Report

Most of the snow is melted to Colchuck Lake. Once you go around the lake to where Colchuck Glacier starts there is plenty of snow to be had. Used Crampons to the top of Colchuck glacier and almost to the top of Colchuck Peak (should have taken them off at the top of the pass). We were able to glissade from the top of the pass to just above the lake where their was more rocks exposed. Lots of post holing in this area back to the lakeside.

I saw many small groups go up to Colchuck peak and back down that day. Including one guy skiing down in a suite that just got married. I was part of a small mountaineering group where a few went over to Dragonstail Peak from Colchuck pass and another team of 3 which I was part of that wen to Colchuck Peak.

Great day overall - mostly clear skies for most of the day and not as windy as expected on the peak
