Ascent Trip ReportI hiked this one with Kevin & Erica. It was a great hike outside of hot Las Vegas. It was only about 80 up here. The trail from the trailhead to Harris Saddle is an old 4WD road, so it was a pretty easy hike to that point. The ridge heading east to the summit has a use trail that is fairly easy to follow to the knob below the summit. From the knob west of the summit to the summit, there isn't really a use trail, but it is very easy to find your way. The view from the top is amazing. You can see from beyond Mt. Charleston to Red Rock and most of Las Vegas. A great way to spend half a day away from the city! Oh yeah, the road up sucks! 4WD is unnecessary, but you will need clearance to get over some rocks.
