Ascent Trip Report2. 7 mile hike around Merrimack Landing Conservation Area including up to the Lone Tree Hill peak. The trails in this conservation area are completely torn up by ATVs so we won't be visiting again. And to boot, we were greeted by two police SUVs and officers (with dog) when we arrived back at the trailhead. Apparently this area is very active for heroine usage and a neighbor Called the police because our car was there. We parked on the end of the access road near the pump station as per this website http://www.amesburytrails.net/merrimack-landing. It is a very upscale neighborhood, so I guess I can't blame them for calling if there is a drug problem coming into their neighborhood.
