Ascent Trip Report

I climbed Finnicum Peak, Sentinel Peak, Paint Rock, Raspberry Peak, Monte Vista Peak, and Johnson Peak as a two day backpack, with one night spent at the saddle located just a little north of Raspberry Peak. I started at the Mormon Canyon trailhead and came out at the Morse Canyon trailhead, then walked the 0.5 miles down the road to get back to the Mormon Canyon trailhead. Most of the trails are poorly maintained and have lots of downed trees to contend with or are overgrown with brush, and some are faded or have disappeared altogether; the one exception is the trail from the Morse Canyon trailhead to the Monte Vista fire lookout, which is in great shape. Also, I got by with five liters of fluids for the two days. In addition, trip stats and GPS track are for all six peaks.
