Ascent Trip ReportParked at the church car park in Lamington village. Followed the road up to Baitlaws. Just before the house go through the gate with the "Walkers Welcome" sign. Follow the track around the field and down to a bridge and ford across Lamington Burn. Turn right after a very short rise.
Go through the next gate and a faint vehicle track rises immediately to the left on the grass. This becomes stronger the higher you get. Alternatively, continue along the vehicle track beyond a fenced enclosure and then climb easy grassy ground up to the ridge line where the aforementioned vehicle track (now stronger) is met. This can be followed to the top.
There are fine views of Tinto to the north and to Culter Fell and Gathersnow Hill. Returned the same way. A nice short outing.
