Ascent Trip Report

Saw this little Butte along the road and sure enough, finally another small peak that is climbable below a class 5 rating! Again, I used washes and rocks and other routes to avoid hiking in what might be considered sensitive ground. The washes are constantly disturbed by water and have no vegetation on them and there were loose gypsum infused soil slopes that were not growing anything on the to worry about and loose talus of sandstone up higher.Decent views. The crux is to find breaches in the sandstone wall near the top or you have a pretty vertical climb of 8 to 10 feet but I found breaches where the climbing was no more than class 2+ or 3 at best. The entire summit can be done as mostly 2/2+
