Ascent Trip Report

Along the side of the road on the way back from Long Mountain, peakbagger shows another 300 foot plus prominent peak on the East side of NW Bacona Road. There is a gate and a gravel road next to the peak. Enough room to tuck to the side out of the way of the gate and no signage!
I parked and ran up the gravel road. It pulls around and does not go to the peak so a steep bushwhack with many downed trees is necessary but the summit is obvious and in some old growth large diameter trees. It is so close to the gravel road that you can spot your way down and not worry about bearings or tape. It is a steep bushwhack however and when wet, quite slippery
