|Date:||Thursday, May 27, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||5246 ft / 1598 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI accessed Bieberstedt Butte from Hwy 140. I drove in on 100 Road and parked on the south side of the peak. I hiked up through a nice forest canopy that has been thinned. Then I entered a logged area where the second growth trees are about 30 ft high. I crossed a logging road and then climbed up through shorter trees in a rocky area to the summit. The summit has a couple large boulders that contend for the high point honor. I think the southern one is higher. Great views to Mt McLoughlin, Brown Mtn, and Robinson Butte. It snowed on me a little while I was hiking.
